To further understand and explain the processes that formed our present existence, this is an attempt to remove many paradigms:
From the very first particles creating the snowball effect of explosions, spinning out in all directions, travelling on pressure waves, leaving behind the emmitted light to create more, even larger explosions, finally forming galaxies, there has always been space. This open void now being filled with the light of so many stars. As they spin out, one hypernova forms the Milky Way. As solar systems form out creating spiraling arms, more stars explode and as a couple lock together, the start of a binary system and the beginning of our solar system.
As the larger of the two stars draws the energy away, its smaller companion explodes, spinning out to create planets. Planet Earth is at this time still a fireball, when another solar system travelling ahead of this one, becomes unstable, causing its star to supernova, sending out shrapnel, destroying what was left of its planets, all but the inner core of one. This iron ball spun out toward our solar system and in Earth's general path. As it was spinning, it became somewhat hollow. As it travelled, picking up ice, sand and any other debris, becoming a comet, it reached Earth's orbital path, finally catching up and, spinning in opposite direction, made its first and most catstrophic impact.
The explanation that Earth's moon was once the crystalized, iron, inner core of a once, somewhat larger habitable planet will give discription to every detail. In fact, the Moon has impacted this planet on numerous occassion and is what formed its geography. It would take such an impact to form current plate tectonics.
The most recent was the Holocene impact event. The Mediterranean Sea is the remnants of a Lunar impact the broke apart the supercontinent of Pangaea, is the reason for the planet's iridium layer and was the cause of an evolutionary bottleneck and mass extinctions. The Appalachian mountain range is the western rim of the crater, where so much material was burned and pushed into a pile of coal. At this same moment the force sent an uplift to the Catskills and Acadian ranges, pushing down, pinching the plate to produce the Mississippi embayment, pushing up the sedimentary, limestone, from beneath ancient seas, to form the Ozarks, sending the shockwave out to flatten the Great Plains and at this same moment sent the North American plate to subdue the Farallon plate forming the Rocky Mountains and sending massive amounts of water and sediments to form the Grand Canyon. All this occurred in the blink of an eye, geologically, within days...
It is my intent to further investigate terrestrial meteoric events and the regularity of Lunar impacts. Currently I have found proof of a December 16, 1811 impact, from a fragment of Comet C/1811 F1 to northern Mississipi causing the New Madrid earthquake sequence and I am now investigating a cometary impact to the Hudson Bay...
